Iowa 80 Truckstop & CAT Scale Award Grants

Iowa 80 Truckstop and CAT Scale Company have awarded its 13th round of grants to local organizations from the Iowa 80 / CAT Scale Go Iowa Fund Grant Program. Iowa 80 Truckstop and CAT Scale Company established the fund in 2012 through the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend (CFGRB).  The grant program provides employees and other individuals a structure to request money to support good causes, organizations or philanthropies they are involved in.

“We’ve always believed that giving back to our community is important”, says Delia Moon Meier, senior vice president.  “This grant program allows our employees to meet and decide how we do that.”

The following grants were awarded earlier this month for applications received for the December 2018 grant cycle.

Scott County Library                                     $2,000.00

Trucker Buddy                                                $1,000.00

RoEll, Inc.                                                       $1,000.00

All Saints Church Food Pantry                    $950.00

Walcott Police Department                          $900.00

Junior Achievement                                       $700.00

Iowa 80 Trucking Museum                          $250.00

The Iowa 80 / CAT Scale Go Iowa Fund can only make grants that benefit Iowa based charities, Iowa activities or to organizations that have a presence in Iowa. Grants are awarded twice per year by a committee of Iowa 80 Truckstop and CAT Scale employees.  More information on the Iowa 80 / CAT Scale Go Iowa Fund Grant Program can be found online at http://www.iowa80group.com.
